BIASA is the peak body representing the recreational and light commercial boating  industries in South Australia.
BIASA champions the protection and development of SA's boating industry by:

Lobbying government at the local, state and federal level to protect and promote the industry, focussing on issues including water resources, safety, environment, leisure, recreation, tourism and the improvement of state boating infrastructure

Providing marketing opportunities to the industry through the presentation of events, especially the annual Adelaide Boat Show

Working to keep its members abreast of opportunities and developments in the industry through meetings, forums and newsletters

Maintaining constructive relationships within the boating industry, with government, and with corporate and community contacts to promote and develop the South Australian marine industry

Setting high industry standards by ensuring that its members abide by Industry Codes of Practises and Codes of Ethics

Providing advice to the public
